Published on August 16, 2023

I would like to share with you some of the photographs taken during my visit to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from July 6 to 8, 2023, in my capacity as chairman of The Nippon Foundation at the invitation of President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh.
[July 7, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia]

With Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh at the State Palace, the presidential residence.

The luncheon between us lasted 45 minutes longer than originally planned even though President Khurelsukh had scheduled a meeting with the speaker of the Indian parliament immediately afterward.

With Mongolian ladies who performed traditional dance for the luncheon President Khurelsukh hosted in my honor.

Mr. Arvan Tavnii sar khoomei (center), one of Mongolia’s top five singers, who sang at the luncheon.

President Khurelsukh gave me a framed photo of my wife and me printed on cashmere cloth.

I presented him with a Japanese warrior’s helmet, which he loved.
