【Photo Diary】(5) 10-day tour of Switzerland, Sweden, the Philippines, Thailand and Bangladesh

I would like to share with you some of the photographs taken during my 10-day European and Asian tour that took me to Switzerland, Sweden, the Philippines, Thailand and Bangladesh from May 27 to June 5, 2024, in my capacity as chairman of The Nippon Foundation and WHO Goodwill Ambassador for Leprosy Elimination.

During the 50th anniversary celebration of the Philippines Maritime Industry Authority (Marina), I was honored with the Timonel Award by Secretary of Transportation Jaime J. Bautista (left).
During the 50th anniversary celebration of the Philippines Maritime Industry Authority (Marina), I was honored with the Timonel Award by Secretary of Transportation Jaime J. Bautista (left). The ceremony was attended by some 500 people.
Launched in 2016, the Timonel Award Program for Outstanding Maritime Entities and Individuals aims to highlight outstanding efforts toward ensuring the safety of life and property at sea, as well as the protection of the marine environment at national, regional, or international levels, according to Marina.
