【Photo Diary】 (4) Visit to Indonesia

I would like to share with you some of the photographs taken during my week-long visit to Indonesia from July 5 to 11, 2025, in my capacity as honorary chair of The Nippon Foundation and WHO Goodwill Ambassador for Leprosy Elimination.

I stated that Indonesia is now one of the world’s leading modern countries, yet some regions, including Probolinggo Regency, still face challenges from leprosy. “With your help, let’s make Probolinggo a model of a leprosy-free region,” I told him.

With KH Mohammad Hasan Mutawakkil Alallah, chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council, East Java Branch (MUI Jawa Timur), and president of Zainul Hasan Genggong Islamic Boarding School, one of the oldest Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia.
