I would like to share with you some of the photographs taken during my week-long visit to Indonesia from July 5 to 11, 2025, in my capacity as honorary chair of The Nippon Foundation and WHO Goodwill Ambassador for Leprosy Elimination.

Under the MOU, the SPF will organize exchange visits between senior field officers of the Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) and the Indonesian military. I said that it is important for these officers to visit each other’s countries in person as a way to promote mutual understanding of not only defense policy but also culture, history and industry as well.

In the evening, I left for Myanmar via Bangkok, winding up my week-long visit to Indonesia.
